Dozens of impressive Tall Ships are docked in the Orange Harbour (IJ-harbour) during SAIL Amsterdam 2020. Hundreds of thousands of fans are enthusiastically walking along the quays. Together with the Tall Ships, many sailing ships, sloops and motorboats form a vibrant, swirling and connecting event.

Sail along from 10.30 till 13.00 hrs. on one of the official SAIL sailing ships or motorvessels and become part of this spectacular 10th edition of SAIL. The quays are slowly filled with public and the first activities are about to begin.

While enjoying a cup of coffee or tea with some sweet goodies, you have a great view of the impressive Tall Ships. Experience how SAIL wakes up during this cruise.

• The departure location is in the Westelijk Havengebied in Amsterdam. The exact location will be announced later by e-mail. At least 2 weeks before the start of the cruise
• The easiest way to travel by public transport to Amsterdam. Free shuttle buses run from Sloterdijk Station (Amsterdam) to the departure location.
• Are you coming by car? More information about parking (paid) will follow with the announcement of the boarding location
• Due to height differences and steep steps, the entry of the boat can be experienced as difficult
• Guests must be able to board independently
• For safety reasons, any pushchairs, buggies and walking supports are not allowed on board and are placed on the quay side
• Pets are not allowed on board

10:00 hrs      Check in at the receiving location.*. 

10:30 hrs      The captain welcomes you personally on board of the ship. From the boarding location you immediately enter the heart of the event. The highlight is the Orange Harbour (IJ-harbour), where the imposing Tall Ships are located.

11:30 hrs      SAIL wakes up slowly and that means that you can still enjoy all the beauty that SAIL has to offer in peace. Coffee and tea with various sweet treats are served on board.

13:00 hrs      The captain moors at the receiving location. You will have an unforgettable, inspiring and connecting experience!
