Aaltje Engelina was built in 1883 as a cargo ship. At the end of the sixties there was no longer any right to exist for smaller inland vessels. Many ships disappeared and due to a housing shortage many ships were converted into houseboats, including the Aaltje Engelina. After a major renovation, Aaltje Engelina has been sailing as a luxury sailing ship since 2016. The ship has a spacious cup, ideal for a good SAIL experience!
