Farewell!
On Sunday the 16th of August, dozens of impressive Tall Ships sail in full direction towards IJmuiden, as a final ceremony of SAIL. Hundreds of fans wave goodbye to the ships and their crew. We all look forward to see you again in 2025.
Experience this honorary tour yourself and sail along on one of the official SAIL ships and become part of this spectacular SAIL-Out Parade. One by one, the Tall Ships leave and sail towards IJmuiden to continue their route at sea. The trip is unforgettable and offers a great view of the impressive Tall Ships. Of course, all this while enjoying some food and drinks!

Date: 16th of August, 2020
14:00 hrs Gathering at SAIL Village. Guests check in at the counter specially reserved for your company. Coffee and tea is provided upon arrival.
15:00 hrs The captain welcomes you personally on board of your reserved ship. Together with hundreds of sloops and motor boats, you sail towards the Tall Ships in the Oranjehaven (IJ-haven), where the ships depart one by one. Small bites and drinks are served on board.
17:00 hrs You sail along in the SAIL-Out parade with all Tall Ships, sloops and other motor boats. Along the route, there are hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts watching the whole parade from a distance. Meanwhile, an extensive buffet is served on board.
19:30 hrs The captain moors at SAIL Village and says goodbye to you and your company. An unforgettable, inspiring and connecting experience!
